Stria by LACE
www.jennywulace.com

This was our first design competition!

MY PRECIOUS PLASTICS, our international design competition asked designers to explore the endless possibilities of plastics and 3D printing technologies for creating exceptional jewelry pieces. It was open to designers from around the globe, who are interested in taking a step into the world of 3D printed jewelry. Download the detailed briefing.

Our first competition has ended and was a great success with more than 300 submissions from which our jury chose the winners. We want to thank all designers for taking part and again congratulate the winners!

Take a step into the future of jewelry design

The integration of 3D printing technologies into the world of jewelry design is constantly spreading, but mostly only replacing traditional techniques as a primary method of fabrication. We want to take this idea one step further and have a deeper look at the endless possibilities that this amazing technology offers. What will happen if we see 3D printing technology as a design tool rather than as a fabrication method? These techniques widen the material library of jewelry designers more than ever, present opportunities to work with unconventional materials while treasuring the beauty of diversity in design. Welcome to the world of “MY PRECIOUS PLASTICS”!
